Please refer to this guide for information about our filming standards, camera settings, and best practices to keep our editing style and client experience consistent. Attire.

We dress to impress. Our outfits will command the respect of our couples, planners, and photographers that we work with. The Storytime Motions team wears business casual while working weddings. All black is preferred. Notice will be given if the event require Black Tie attire. You may dress comfortably according to the weather. If wearing sneakers, please make sure that they are completely black.

Do NOT wear: Hats, white shoes, sneakers or jeans.

Gear.

Expected gear from a second shooter includes:

  • 2 bodies able to film 4k

  • 70 - 200mm lens 2.8

  • 24 - 70mm lens 2.8 (or a lens that you are comfortable on gimbal with)

  • Lens for dancing (such as a 50mm or 35mm)

  • Tripod

  • Stabilizing gimbal

ND Filters are not required. BREAK the shutter rule for proper exposure.

RECORD SETTINGS

  • File format - XAVC HS 4k

  • 24fps, 100mb, 420, 10 bit

  • 60fps, 150mb, 420, 10 bit

B-ROLL

4k, 60fps, minimum 160 shutter, lowest possible ISO

  • Establishing Shots, all details, getting ready, cocktail hour, dancing

A-ROLL

4k, 24fps, minimum 50 shutter, lowest possible ISO

  • Ceremony and Toasts

FILMING CEREMONY

Three -shot (couple and officiant all in frame)

  • 24fps, 5.6 f stop, minimum 50 shutter, lowest possible ISO

  • When filming the groom reaction shot, please get a medium frame

Picture Profile Settings.

Customize PP6 so that you can easily switch back to our color profile settings when working for Storytime Motions.

  • Black Level // +2

  • Gamma // Cine4

  • Knee // no adjustment

  • Color mode // Pro

  • Saturation // -3

Other FAQs.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Please arrive to start filming at your call time. Look at traffic and consider how long you need to park your car, set up gear and gather cards. Videographers who are late will not be invited to film with Storytime Motions again.

  • Couples have the option to purchase raw footage after the wedding. Please be aware of your language and conversation topic while recording.

  • Remember you are representing the Storytime Motions brand. Please refrain from using cuss words, foul or aggressive language at all times.

HOW WILL I BE PAID?

  • To receive payment please email kiannacolumna@gmail.com with your invoice and W9 form. Payment will be made through Zelle. Please let Kianna know if your phone number or email is linked to your account for the payment.

CARDS

  • The lead videographer will give you an SD card to film with throughout the day. You are allowed to dual record using your own card BUT it must be a minimum v90 and 300mb/s card.

  • You are welcome to use the footage for your website or portfolio reels. No highlight films are allowed to be made with footage shot for Storytime Motions. Footage shot for Storytime Motions cannot be used for Tik Tok, Instagram and Instagram Reels.

COMMUNICATION

  • Lead videographer will text you with a copy of the timeline to save easily on your phone incase there is no internet connection on the wedding day.

  • Always ask questions if you need clarification on a set up or filming need.

  • Use the text thread for any updates throughout the day.
